Environmental Solutions
For IT-Responsible, sustainability of used IT means first and foremost respecting the waste hierarchy as much as possible (see below).
After the IT assets can no longer be used within the company, IT-Responsible offers solutions to minimize the part of redundant equipment that ends up as residual waste.
Our processes are focused on extending the lifespan through reuse of the equipment, or parts it, which can be realized through, refurbishment, sales or donation.
The remaining part that is not eligible for reuse is recycled where our goal is to achieve the highest possible recycling percentage. That means to extract as many raw materials as possible from the residual materials that can be reused for the manufacturing of new products. To realize this, we work together with partners who are ISO-certified and who meet the strictest WEEELABEX/CENELEC standards.
Only in this way is it possible to reduce the remaining amount of e-waste to a minimum and then to provide user-friendly data for ESG reports.
Purchasing and using IT, but also the End-of-Life process of IT, does not only mean using raw materials, but also emitting CO2. That is why it makes sense to consider whether CO2 should be compensated.
We are involved in various Biodiversity restoration projects, where CO2 is removed from the air and for which CO2 credits can be obtained (if desired).
We are happy to help our customers to reduce their footprint by generating a positive handprint. That is why we make our specialist knowledge and experience available, so that we can connect finders and funders of biodiversity projects in the right way. In this manner, we create a better world together.
